Explore the Peak District
Endless walks and exploring await the guests of Lion Cottage nestled away in the quintessentially British village of Birchover sandwiched between the historic towns of Bakewell and Matlock on the south east boarder of the Peak District National Park.
The countryside is quiet and majestic all year round - magical winters, beautiful springs, sunshine summers and amber autumns. There's a feeling of going back in time and a definite sleepiness about the place. Enjoy playing witness to old-fashioned agriculture, with lots of livestock enjoying the fresh outdoors with you.
The cottage is a convenient 'Walk-in, Walk-out' set-up, with stunning walks and hikes from the front door to an array of local attractions including Monsal Head, Medieval Haddon Hall, and the Nine Ladies Stone Circle. The village also enjoys two popular pubs, so a refuel is literally just round the corner.
